According to LR legislation, these injections can be provided by doctors (dermatologists, plastic surgeons, neurologists, neurosurgeons, ophthalmologists or cosmetologists). The botulinum toxin preparation is also registered as a medicine in the EU Medicines Register. Unprofessional cosmetic injections without proper knowledge and qualifications, endangers the health of the client.
Botulinum toxin containing injections and biomaterials, i.e. filler injections are considered to be complicated aesthetic medical procedures.
Teacher: Yekaterina Vasilyev: Qualified Practitioner - Dermatovenerologist. Conducts different types of aesthetical practical workshops. In 2001 she received a medical degree from the Latvian Academy of Medicine. She continued her professional development at the Riga Cosmetics School, where she was awarded a Cosmetic Qualification.
In 2011, J. Vasiljeva acquired a qualification of a specialist in dermatovenerology at the University of Latvia. She regularly improves her knowledge and skills in seminars. In 2009, she attended a seminar "Basics of Laser Medicine" at Vilnius University. In 2010, she attended seminars on "Latest trends in mesotherapy and aesthetic treatment" as well as "Injection courses with "Teosyal ".
In 2016, she participated in the conference "Challenges for Face Renewal: Injections or Surgery?" led by specialists from Latvia and France. In 2017 she participated in the 2nd Latvian Dermatologist Forum. Attended practical training at the INTRALIPOTHERAPY workshop, where practical applications such as AQUALYX and ALIDYA were taught. She attended conferences organized by Allergan Medical Institute. The themes of the conferences were "Using Vistabel Botox in Face Renewal" and "Juvederm / Volite for Improving Skin Quality. Theoretical and Practical Aspects ”.

Vector Lifting Of The Area Of The Cheekbones
This practical seminar is worked out for the medical people experinced in work with simple filler technologies. This is a practical workout of the cannula technologies. You achieve the effect of the lifting of the area of cheakbones or you make corrections of the volume of the area of cheakbones.
You work with 2 Juvederm Voluma ampoulles (1 ml each).

Botulin Toxin Injections
Botulinum toxin reversibly inhibits signaling from the nerve to the muscle and sweat glands. These injections are used in areas of the face where the wrinkles are caused by mimicry, such as in the horizontal grooves of the forehead or between the eyebrows.
Nerve impulses get blocked by the injection site. Muscle relaxation occurs in the area, resulting in reducing of mimic wrinkles. After the end of the toxin exposure period (approximately 6 to 12 months), the muscle gradually resumes its function. Botulinum toxin blocks / reduces nerve impulses to fine facial muscles that are responsible for facial features. After botulinum injection, the skin becomes smooth in the specific areas, and the wrinkles smooth, but the rest of the facial muscles work as usual, so the usual expression does not change.
