ITEC certification
Riga International School is a state accredited educational institution. It was founded in 1996. It implements professional training in different programs in Beauty and SPA industries. The state accreditation is until November, 2018 then it will get prolongated for the next 6 years. RiS School is also ITEC accredited educational institution. It offers different programs for ITEC certification. ITEC - is one of the most popular certification institution worldwide. Its certificates are obligatory needed for official work in more than 33 countries in Europe, America, Australia.
You can be a student with or without previous grounding in the profession - we will prepare you for the exam from the very beginning.
The tuitors are ITEC certified professionals, have higher medical education and additional professional pedagogical education of state accredited Latvian University.

Important:
- 1. You will gewt prepared for theoretical test and practical exam during the learning program. Tuitors will assist to accomplish the obligatory client consultation forms for participation in the exam.
- 2. For participating in the exam you have to fill in the application form and to pay the registration fee.
- 3. In the application form you have to show the language for your theoretical part.
- 4. The practical part will be taken in English, if you wish to use another language you should apply for the translator at RiS administration.
- 5. The duration of practical part of the exams:
- 6. Student provides personal cosmetics, professional clothing for all parts of ITEC examination.
- 7. 1 day before the exam the student must come and prepare the working place for the exam.
- 8. Before the exam the students gives fully completed client consultation forms to the tuitor
Holistic massage - Before the examination you have to make independently, by yourself the treatment of holistic massage to 4 people. You make at least 5 treatments to each person and fill in the appropriate client consultation form (find the attachment below). You use the language convinient for you. Before the examination you have to provide client consultation forms (all together for 20 treatments) to your tuitor for assessment.
Beauty Specialist - Before the examination you have to make independently, by yourself the following treatments:
- Skin Care and Eye Treatment
- Waxing
- Make Up (attach photos of treatments)
- Manicure and Pedicure (attach photos of treatments)
You have to fill in the client consultation forms for 5 clients for each treatment (find the attachment below). The forms can be filled in either with your handwriting or electronically.
You use the language convinient for you. Before the examination you have to provide client consultation forms (all together for 20 treatments) to your tuitor for assessment.
8)Get prepared for theoretical and practical parts of the examination:
Holistic Massage - Business Awareness (Incl. Sanitary and Hygiene, First Aid, Client Care), Holistic Massage, Anatomy and Phisiology. Each unit contains 50 questions.
Beauty Specialist: Business Awareness (Incl. Sanitary and Hygiene, First Aid, Client Care), Manicure &Pedicure, Waxing, Skin Care and Eye Treatment. Each unit contains 50 questions.
!! Requirements for Manicure &Pedicure practical part: The model has to have the red nail polish on her nails before the treatment. So you will be able to demonstrate the removing of the nail polish before the treatment. You have to demonstrate the hand and arm massage till the elbow. You demonstrate classical manicure incl.cuticle removing (cutting).
!! The candidates communicates with the model during the ITEC examination ONLY about execution of the treatment. The candidate must keep silence during the exam.
!! The candidates must demonstrate professional appearance during the exam - professional uniform, closed shoes, no perfume and personal decorations, hair must be clean and clipped, very light make up, short nails with light color nail polish.
!! During the exam the candidate must use only personal cosmetics and instruments. Candidates cannot share the cosmetics and instruments.
